U.S. Military To Create AI That Can DETECT And FIGHT Fake News! What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

The United States Military is calling on its technological partners to develop an automated artificially intelligent system capable of scanning the entire internet to locate and censor content that it considers to be so called “fake news”. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency also knowns as DARPA is developing technologies to automatically detect, attribute, and characterize falsified multi-modal media assets (text, audio, image, video) to “defend against large-scale, automated disinformation attacks.”
