Bans have sprung up in many US states and of course many US cities which begs the question, why?
Well, freedom lovers usually do the opposite of what the government says, there's no doubt about that. Prohibition leads to a black market (or a free market) one way or another.
But of course there is still largely a legal market for kratom and Luis Mises sells the product in places where there are not restrictions.
Of course it's important to acknowledge that kratom doesn't work for everyone. Some people can't stand it. But the vast majority of people who use it have very positive experiences with the sister plant of coffee.
