When the police are the only ones with Guns- or AR-15 and the people don't. I call that a police state. Really with how, militarized they are now. If they come after the guns; it's a police state.

The other shows how they would prevent the populace to "normal expression or activity". Which would be the right to armaments. Since ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ has been a saying, ever since 500 BC. ( Xerxes I—king of the Achaemenid Empire—demanded that the Spartans surrender their weapons and King Leonidas I responded with this phrase.) For 2518 years we have been saying 'come and take them!' Control for a government policy, it would have to fall under definition, 2a: to exercise restraining or directing influence over : regulate | So what would they have to be regulating in this ALREADY ESTABLISHED- Repressive law - they would have to be regulating one of the following for it to be a police state. :political, economic, and social life | The right to bear armaments; would be both Political and Social Life.
Who would they use to regulate this? Take the guns? AR-15 or any?
They would use arbitrary exercise of
power by police and especially secret police. We at least know they would use the power of the police; and it would most likely be the ATF if it were Federal. With their guard. I'd call it straight on police state. Also since all police and military; first are to take oaths to the Constitution.
