"March of the Dead Veterans" Confronts Veteran Suicide at Libertarian National Convention

Iraq War veteran and Libertarian 2020 presidential candidate Adam Kokesh led a "March of the Dead Veterans" from the Veteran's Affairs Hospital in New Orleans to the Libertarian National Convention. Kokesh and his group say that the Libertarian Party is the only political party in America that addresses their concerns by allowing marijuana and other drugs as treatments, and calling for a "platform of peace."

Kokesh presented a folded American flag signed by the activists to Nicholas Sarwark, the Libertarian Party Chair.

"The Libertarian Party is the only national political party committed to the solutions that will really get to the root causes of veteran suicide in this country," Sarwark told the crowd. "Namely, increased opiate addiction, not sending our men and women oversees to die in other countries' civil wars, and generally promoting a policy of peace."

“More than 20 veterans commit suicide every day. Our government and much of the media have been silent about this tragedy,” Marcus Pulis, Kokesh’s Press Secretary, in a press release. “It is the Kokesh Campaign’s goal to give voice to the voiceless, who are gone but not forgotten. It is time to end the drug war and give the VA to the veterans.”
