Victory for the First Amendment: Jonathan Vanderhagen Acquitted By Jury for Criticizing a County Judge on Facebook

Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Rachel Rancilio was criticized by Jonathan Vanderhagen on his Facebook; because earlier he was in court to have his child's mother listed as an unfit mother- the judge denied that and his child died under her care.

So he spoke out, as the ruling brought about his child's death.

But Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Rachel Rancilio wasn't having that. Because Vanderhagen said "Dada back to digging & you best believe im gonna dig up all the skeletons in this court's closet" in a post with him holding a shovel- she claimed he was threatening her with that post. FORCING HIM, to go to court for using his Free Speech.

Thanks to the jury, he was acquitted of any wrongdoing.
